BLOOD'n'BONE
Fertico Blood'n'Bone based fertiliser is a blend of blood & bone and fully composted animal manures. It contains naturally occurring mineral ingredients, in addition to the meat meal ingredient.
APPLICATION RATES
Blood'n'Bone should be side dressed at 100 gms/sq. metre during the growing season. This is sufficient for ornamentals, vegetables, small shrubs, perennials and ground covers.
Fruit trees:
For normally healthy developed trees, apply twice yearly in spring & summer. Use 250gms for each year of the trees age, e.g. 500 gms for a 2 year old tree. Apply under the canopy within 30cms of the trunk, preferably lightly incorporated with topsoil & overlaid with mulch.
Shrubs:
For most large shrubs,, calculate the area of the canopy (approx. 6 times the radius) and apply 100 gms/sq metre at 3 monthly intervals.For most native shrubs, using the same calculation, apply no more than 50 gms/sq metre at 3 monthly intervals.
