We believe that effectively growing plants or raising animals is not simple.
We believe that the multitude of problems that exist in, not only Australian but also international agriculture, cannot be addressed by continuing higher doses of N, P and K.
Of course these elements are essential building blocks in the area of plant nutrition, but to focus on these three letters alone is just too simplistic.
Fertico markets a range of organic based fertiliser products including NutriSmart. Based in Adelaide South Australia, Fertico services - through its network of distributors – farming clients throughout Victoria and South Australia. Fertico also services the Australian turf and amenity horticulture market, vineyards, and home garden market through its toll manufacturing associations and sister companies within the Ecofertiliser group.

The evidence is overwhelming that sustained large-scale application of chemical fertiliser has been a factor leading to soil degradation in Australia and around the world. Acidity in soils is on the increase and the structure of our soils is on the decline.

We know better now, there is no longer any excuse for the continuation of what modern science has shown us is essentially unsound agronomic practice. The real question should not be can I afford to change my fertiliser practice but whether I can afford not to change.

Balance: Plants require 16 elements to be present at optimal levels in order to achieve optimal growth. Addition of just three of these elements is unlikely to be a balanced approach.
Economic Viability: Fertilisers not only have to work they also have to be available to the customer a, easy to use and suitable for use through modern machinery.
Sound Agronomic Practice: Just as there is abundant proof that the continued application of ever higher rates of chemical fertilisers is not the answer, there is also proof that many of the proposed "alternatives" are not the answer either. Our company believes in science and the application of proven scientific method. We encourage our customers to utilise independent soil testing facilities and we will only make recommendations based on sound data.
Quality: We believe that the granulated product that we produce is the best in its class, however we will continue to strive to improve product quality through innovation.
